CTRL Z
This year felt like constantly hitting CTRL + Z, undoing what I knew and relearning from the ground up. Reflection became a crucial part of the process, forcing me to question ingrained approaches and reconsider the fundamentals. Whether working with materials, interpreting a city, or exploring nature through textile dyeing, each piece of work challenged my understanding. Just as I thought I had figured something out, a new perspective pushed me to rethink, breaking past familiar patterns. Letting go of fixed ideas was uncomfortable, but it made room for deeper insights and a more intentional way of designing.
Unlearning wasn’t about discarding knowledge but about refining it. It allowed me to experiment, adapt, and shape my process with more clarity. Every challenge became an opportunity to start fresh, not from scratch, but from a place of better understanding. CTRL Z wasn’t about going back, it was about breaking assumptions, embracing change, and moving forward with a new perspective.
