This project explored the relationship between natural elements and mindful making through the lens of overlooked plants, specifically, morning glories. Drawn to their transient beauty, I studied their form, behavior, and presence in the environment. Through block studies, material experiments, and natural dyeing, I began to understand how nature resists predictability, each fabric absorbed and responded to dye uniquely. This hands-on process revealed how colour, texture, and transformation could mirror the quiet intelligence of natural systems. Photography and sound recordings added sensory depth, helping me see the work not just as surface design, but as a conversation between maker, material, and environment. Repetition and refinement brought new surprises, reinforcing the idea that beauty often lies in the overlooked. In the end, the project became about more than textiles — it was a shift in perception, a way of learning to observe, respond to, and collaborate with nature.
