This project examines traditional food practices as repositories of cultural memory and resistance against industrialized food systems. Through a landscape-format interactive zine titled "Unave Marundhu" (Food is Medicine), it bridges ancient wisdom and modern nutrition science, challenging the commercialized probiotic industry's questionable claims. The scripture-inspired design features interactive flaps that reveal truths behind marketing myths, guiding readers toward informed decisions about gut health. By dissecting both traditional texts and contemporary misinformation, the zine creates a middle ground that empowers consumers to resist profit-driven health trends and reconnect with natural, culturally-rooted food practices as holistic nourishment.
