My journey at Srishti can be aptly described through the metaphor of "stepping stones," as each phase has been a progressive process of exploration and experimentation, building on what I have learnt before. Starting with my engineering background and interest in arts, interior design and home decor, I gradually expanded my understanding of design, with a strong focus on sustainability and material exploration. Initially, I concentrated on creating simple, functional and minimalistic designs, learning to select materials sustainably and minimise waste. As my journey progressed, I shifted to considering the emotional and psychological needs of clients while still emphasising sustainable material sourcing. Prototyping and iterating based on feedback further refined my process. Moving from hard materials to soft materials like fabrics was another significant step, where I experimented with new techniques and integrated nature-inspired elements into my work. Throughout this journey, I maintained my focus on sustainability and emotional connection in design. Each step, from materials to techniques to user empathy, has laid the foundation for my future career, with every experience acting as a stepping stone towards my larger design journey.
